Three Seminars in Producing for Film & TV Conducted by Film Line Producer Lisa Cook - Open to all Students, Faculty and General Public! - March 10 – 12, 2008
Film line producer Lisa Cook presents three special seminars on film production.
Mon 3/10: Film Production: From Screenplay to Screen, an Overview of the Filmmaking Process Wright Hall, Lab A, Room 101 11 am – 1 pm Cook will demystify the process of getting the writers' vision to the multiplex.
Tue 3/11: Screening and Discussion of Fantasia 2000 Wellman Hall, Room 6 6 pm - 9 pm Cook was the associate producer on this film.
Wed 3/12: How to Create a Successful Pitch for the Movie Industry Wright Hall, Lab A, Room 101 10 am – 12 noon Lisa Cook shares her secrets and stories leading to her successful career.

BIO: Lisa Cook began her production career as the craft service person on the low budget horror classic Bloody Birthday. She went on to serve as production coordinator on numerous theatrical and television film projects, including the notorious Nightmare on Elm Street. Her first production manager position was on a small feature comedy directed by Steve Tobolowsky called Two Idiots in Hollywood, followed by another horror classic, Tremors (Universal). Her production supervisor credits include Major League (Paramount), David Lynch's Hotel Room (HBO) and National Lampoon's Favorite Deadly Sins (Showtime). Ms. Cook was hired by Disney as associate producer on Fantasia 2000. Upon its completion Ms. Cook relocated to Florida to work at Disney's now-closed Florida animation studio, home of Mulan and Lilo and Stitch fame. She now teaches film production full time at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
